Does system restore can help my laptop to remove virus?

In my point of view the system restore can not help any desktop or laptop, just it restores the system files or system to the previous state.

If your system is infected with virus, trojans...etc then you are trying to restore the system to previous state, may the virus does not allow the system to restore to a previous state. Most the infected systems which I observed system restore does not work, it gives a message "system restoration fails" and after that it it restarts.

May the system restores works in safe mode, once try in safe mode. Better install any free antivirus and update it and scan whole computer. I prefer to install Avast free edition antivirus, they provide one year free license and install it update and scan the whole system.

I assure this process will work, your system gets cleaned. If you are connected to internet, install a firewall, maximum it blocks threats.
