My laptop is full of win 32:vitro virus and win 32:scribble virus.how could I remove these?

Does I need to format all drive?my anti virus is not up to date and when I connect the dongle,my anti virus block that.tell me what to do?

win32 threats attack virus

First install a Trojan remover and disconnect your PC from Internet then scan then whole computer. After completing the scan you will find some option in tools menu like reset windows policies, reset internet explorer policies..etc and run those tools, If these actions cannot be performed in Normal Mode and go to safe mode run these actions and then boot to normal mode.

Then try to update the virus definitions of the antivirus if not updated getting an error just uninstall the antivirus and install the avast free antivirus, update it and scan whole computer if threats detected delete or clean them, however it is the free edition which has limited features and you can grab the full version from the official website.

If the trojan remover not worked or antivirus not performed well then you need to format the whole system because if you format the primary drive that might be not useful because the virus still present in other drives of your PC. Better backup the important data to other external drive and then format your system.

Try to research on Internet by entering the virus name removal tool and some security websites provide removal tools for win32 version of threats.

Is it a good idea to download something from an unsecured network?

I'm trying to download something. But I want to use WI-Fi I don't know my neighbours wireless pass code and I'm not sure if my neighbours do have WI-Fi. I'm thinking about using the unsecured WI Fi. Is it a good idea. Will I might get a virus. I would like to know if its safe and if its a good idea.

free wifi hotspot
All unsecured networks may be safe or not safe, because some people dont know how to keep a secured network and some knows but they might hack your smartphone data if they are professionals in hacking.

If you are on unsecured network browse at your own risk one more thing is that you mush have installed a good antivirus in smartphone if you are on unsecured network you will safe. Moreover totally depends on what you are browsing and downloading, say you are downloading any files from mail that's quite natural or you are copying the shared file that might be risk because the file is network may or may not contain virus.

If your device is loaded with antivirus it will safe for you and you can access any type of file or website, it warns you if that is an inappropriate file. One more important thing is you need to update the virus definitions atleat once in a week.

Tip :- dont list your passwords, userid's and credit card numbers and other credentials in you smartphone or in email or in any cloud storage

Can I close out of my anti virus software now?

I ran my anti virus software, Norton, to get rid of a dangerous file I just downloaded. Right now it's stuck on a log for a game I downloaded, but I'm pretty sure it's found the virus thing because it says 105 security risks detected and resolved. So, should I close it or keep it running, because it's been sitting on this screen for a while now and would it be okay, if I just went ahead and hopped on the Internet if I can't close it?

symantec scan

Yes you can close it and it just showing the results of the scan and if you find any important in that and the result will be displayed on the right side of the window. Some viruses or infected files cannot cleaned, whether if you want to delete or move to quarantine you can do that manually.

Some antivirus cannot clean the compressed files because the antivirus has limited features those are may be trial versions or free versions. After scanning they will display the results and showing that which files are infected and types of virus, action taken on them, if you find any compressed file check whether that file is realted to you or not and dont just delete all the compressed files.

I suggest you the full version of antivirus has the deep scanning parameters where it scan the total compressed file and cleans that particular in that file so better have the full version of security softwares. Most of antivirus cleans the trojans aswell if they cant download the trojan remover where it cleans the trojans files and have many better features

If I have Norton 360 do I still need internet security or it is just OK to have the 360 only?

In my point of view, Norton 360 premier edition is the best one because the Norton 360 premier has backup utility where it backups our data and restores the data to the original destination.

norton 360 premier edition

Norton 360 which has limited features where backup and pc tune up is not available where Norton 360 premier edition has.

I have used Norton 360 but it seems to be not fit to my computer where my system is low in configuration and my system will become very slow when I installed it and so I removed it, Installed Avast free edition that was better for me.

Not only 360, any security software that is provided by Symantec was awesome and in that Norton 360 premier edition provides 25 GB of cloud storage that is also a secure. Just don't install the Norton Internet Security which has the better features where one can afford to buy the security software.

Once before buying or installing the antivirus once check the features of the that particular security programmes and so you will come to know whether need to install any new softwares or ...etc

Is any safe way to copying data from infected usb (without antivirus)?

How to prevent spread the virus when copying files from usb drives (without any anti-virus soft-wares). I think using command prompt to copying the files from usb which prevent the virus attacks. Is it true? Or any other way you know?

usb virus attack

You can copy required files from usb few mouse clicks and just hold ctrl+alt+shift and insert usb drive into usb and after no autoplay will run. Open my Computer and dont double click or right click on the usb drive, if you clicked the virus will spread and go to the address bar and click the dropdown menu, copy the required files from usb drive to destination.

And here once check whether you are going to copy the files that which are original files because some viruses hide the original files and creates duplicate on the same name called .exe, for example there is folder called new folder and virus here hides the new folder and a duplicate exe file is created with the same icon and when you double click it will executes and infects your PC, so here once check before copying goto properties of that folder or file after see that whether it is in desired format or not and then copy the required files.

You can copy from dos aswell and just you need to the few commands, but I am not sure that this process prevents the virus attacks

What do I do if my computer has a virus and I have no software?

My computer has a virus because I called Microsoft and asked and they said it did, but I don't have the 200 dollars to pay to get it off. I have no security and the virus disabled any type of blocking I have on my computer. It even said the main windows blocking thing was off, but the virus is making it unable to turn the blocking on! I have no way to download anything, the virus blocks anything from being downloaded, saying it contains a virus... what do I do?!?! I'm looking for a last resort here, that's free... do I shut off my computer until I get help? What happens if the virus or hacker goes into my bank account or gets the information... DESPERATE HELP NEEDED HERE

antivirus virus attack

If you don't have any important data, my suggestion is to format your system and fresh install of operating system and after install a good internet security where it scans all the drivers and cleans your computer.

If yo have any important data, go to safe mode and backup your data to other drive or pen drive and after that install a trojan remover and scan the whole computer and reset the windows policies, internet explorer policies, disconnect your system from internet.

First thing remember if you are connected to internet you must have good antivirus, better it protects your PC from attacks...etc.

Install a Avast free edition, it blocks viruses, trojans..etc and also they provide 1 year free license.

Please help!!!!!!! how do I use wifi?

I turned on wifi and scanned for networks. A couple of unlocked networks came up, I don't know if it was theirs, but I tried connecting to those, it got through but then brought me to a bunch of companies like time warner cable, xfinity....etc, and asked me for a username and password, is this normal? is all unlocked wifi hotspots like this? I don't have any WiFi accounts, how can I connect? any help is appreciated. thank you.

wifi available networks smartphone

When I visited on the road and I turned on Wifi found so many networks some are secured and some are not. When I try to connect to Internet, it is connected and once after checking whether Internet is working or not, it worked.

After checking the details of the wifi network they did not assign the network key and so anyone access. Some networks are asking me user id and password and login page is opening, may be that login page is created by them. I found that it is Star hotel, when I checked that if you are into that hotel they will provide a user id and password until we are in that hotel and for customer they are setting the session times.

Not all hotspots are secured or non secured, if that is a mall you can avail free internet.

Laptop problems. Please help!!!?

When ever I try to delete McAfee and all those other annoying PC cleaning popups on my laptop they just end up coming back on there somehow. Is a way to permanently get rid of them !?! Please answer. Any info will help thanks.

laptop virus uninstall

Deleting Mcafee means you are going to installed location and deleting the folders may be that's not the right way. You need to go to control panel and uninstall the McAfee antivirus and this is the procedure you need to follow.

Popups are getting automatically on you laptop it means there might be some ad ware sort of software's are installed in your laptop once check them and uninstall them. Most of malware sites or ad ware sites automatically install a plugin into your browser and if you enable privacy options you will get the alert.

If you are using McAfee full versions and update and scan the whole computer, if not install the avast free antivirus that's work better ever. They provide one year license aswell.

If you want to get rid of all those things you need to enable privacy options in the operating system. Windows 7 has the good privacy options where windows xp has very less.
